The name EVENKIEHL materialized from combining founder Jonathan Kiehl’s last name with his desire to provide even-keeled financial planning and investment management.
The name and logo play off of the visual of a wake falling away from a boat. As the boat’s backbone, the keel provides trustworthy direction and balance; measured by the symmetry of the wake it leaves behind. Just as a wake has two distinct sides, two distinct outcomes define our success: the results we deliver and the relationships we cultivate.

Meet Jonathan
Jonathan, CFP®, MBA
Katelyn
Jonathan Kiehl is a Certified Financial Planner™ with an MBA in personal finance. He discovered his enjoyment of helping others bridge the gap between complexity and clarity during his years as an educator for Rolex Watch, USA. Since 2015, he’s had the privilege of applying this skill to finance.
Jonathan is a teacher at heart and has spent time volunteering as a financial coach, tax preparer and treasurer.
In his free time, he is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys running, birding, backpacking and camping.
Jonathan met his wife Katelyn during a self-supported bicycle (bikepacking) trip across the United States. They now use their home in Lancaster, PA as a launch pad for their next adventures.
Katelyn is a fellow entrepreneur and founder of Forte Florals, LLC. As a former marketing director/corporate gal turned small business owner, Katelyn provides invaluable business support.
Jonathan and Katelyn have four children: Talbott, Pierson, William and Avery.
